Until now, you picked the profile family from a drop-down list. Since September 24, the Bar nesting standard profile picker opens on a grid of families, each with a small perspective drawing, then shows the sizes for the family you choose.
How it works
- Click the “▾” button next to the profile field; its tooltip reads “Choose a standard profile”. You will find it on every row of the “Parts” panel and on every bar in the “Stock” panel.
- The grid shows the families: round, square or rectangular tubes, IPE and HEA beams, U channels, angles, flat bars…
- Choose a family, then a size: the full designation, for example “Tube 40x40” or “IPE 200”, is entered in the profile field. The “Categories” button takes you back to the grid.
