On a beveled part, the plan views did not all read the direction the same way: a joint cut in a single stroke was drawn with an offcut corner that does not exist. Since September 28, one rule applies across the whole plan, and simple bevels benefit from paired cuts.
One rule for G and D
- “45°G” means the saw head tilts to the left (gauche), “45°D” that it tilts to the right (droite).
- Two ends separated by the same saw cut carry the same letter. On a single part, two identical letters mean parallel ends, two opposite letters a trapezoid.
- The front view, perspective, dimensions, previews, PDF and per-part report all follow this rule.
Paired simple bevels
- With the “Married cuts ⋈” option in the “Settings” panel, on by default, two ends cut at the same bevel angle, with no miter, are cut with a single stroke, with the neighboring part turned over if needed. Ends that combine a miter and a bevel are still cut separately.
- The profile designation must give its cross-section, for example “Tube 60x40” or “Tube Ø50”. On one of our test files, a bar goes from 15 to 16 parts this way, with no offcut.
3D import: mirror parts kept apart
- On round and square tubes, mirror parts, identical except for an opposite bevel direction, are no longer wrongly grouped together. If you imported such an assembly before September 28, import it again from “3D import”.
