“2D nesting” (then called “Sheet metal 2D”) no longer works with a single sheet size. Declare your other sizes and your offcuts: nesting picks, sheet after sheet, which one to start. Open to everyone, no account needed.
Other available formats
- In the “Sheet in stock” panel, the “Other available formats” section takes your sizes and offcuts of the same grade, with “+ Add a format”.
- Nesting starts the most economical size, judged by each sheet’s yield rather than its size.
- Tick “offcut” for material already paid for: when yields are comparable, it is used first.
- With a Pro or Workshop plan, the “Depuis le stock” (from stock) picker adds a size from your inventory.
- These sizes are used with the “CNC / laser / plasma (free contours)” cutting method; with the shear, only the main sheet is used.
One sheet per thickness
- The blanks table has a “Thickness (mm)” column, taken from 3D import when the thickness could be measured.
- Since September 22, blanks of different thicknesses are nested on separate sheets: a raw sheet has only one thickness.
- The same day, a crash in DXF export on plans with many parts was fixed.
